On June 30, at the headquarters of the Famiglia Legnanese, the Bianca Ballabio Foundation was awarded the prestigious 30th Teresa Merlo Prize, “A Life, A Commitment to Others.“ The decision was made upon the recommendation of the Merlo family and ratified by the council of the Famiglia Legnanese.

The Foundation was honored “for choosing to keep Bianca’s dream alive through the Foundation dedicated to her: the dream of becoming a passionate and enthusiastic doctor committed to advancing medicine and caring for others and the community. The Foundation stands out as a place of intercultural exchange for studies and research, with a strong focus on supporting medical research and the training of young doctors, residents, and researchers.

The award also acknowledges the innovative projects carried out in healthcare and social assistance through targeted donations, providing essential contributions to

the development of medical-scientific institutions. The scholarships awarded by the Foundation enable aspiring doctors and researchers to pursue their dreams,

allowing them to continue their journey of excellence in education and in caring for others.”
